How to Get Involved

Volunteer!

The Boulder Democratic Party is an all-volunteer organization and there are many opportunities for people who want to help. Have fun, meet people and assist a great cause!  You can help out on a regular schedule or just drop in.  Have questions?  Email our volunteer coordinator here.  To get started, please follow these steps:
Step 1:  create your volunteer profile here so we know who you are and what you like to help with
Step 2:  in the volunteer profile form above, make sure you subscribe to our volunteer newsletter.  This is our primary way of letting volunteers know what projects we need help with.
Step 3: look over the remainder of this webpage below to find groups to join, events to attend and other ways to get involved.
Some examples of things that volunteers can choose to help with include:
Work In Your Precinct:  neighborhood precinct helpers make phone calls and distribute election materials door to door.  We always need this kind of help, especially close to Election Day.  Find out more here.
Staff the BCDP Headquarters:  volunteers who commit to recurring shifts answer phones, help with mailings, assist walk ins, etc. Find out more here.
Staff the BCDP Booth at Festivals & Walk in Parades:  hand out campaign literature, bumper stickers, buttons, and register people to vote at fun festivals & parades.  Find out more here
Assist with Information Technology:  volunteers with experience in web design, multimedia, data analysis or database work are welcome.  Find out more here

Help Us Get Out The Vote (GOTV):

Get Out The Vote means helping people get registered to vote, informed about the issues and candidates, and to the polls on election day.  This year-round effort by the Boulder County Dems makes a significant difference in the outcomes of local and statewide elections.  The GOTV Field team is composed of Precinct Leaders and their neighborhood volunteers, Area Coordinators, House District Team Leaders, Field Team Leader and support staff.  We improve the accuracy of voter lists, invite elected officials and candidates into our backyards and living rooms, distribute the BCDP Voter Guide, inform our supporters about methods of voting and election deadline details, and work to get winning votes for Democratic candidates and progressives issues.  We are always looking for new members of the Field Team.  We will put you in touch with your precinct leader who can show you the ropes.  Join Us Today!
