What To Do If You're Fed Up:

We understand that you are frustrated.  Many of us are too.  We hope that the suggestions on this page help you channel your frustration into productive good use!

5 Things You Can Do Right Now!

1.)  Write, Call, Email, Text your Elected Official, Newspaper Editor, Candidate, Radio Station!

This is a surprisingly effective action, given how little effort it takes.  We make it even easier for you:  we've gathered all the information you'll need to communicated effectively with the various media organizations and officials here.  Go ahead and give them a piece of your mind!

2.)  Subscribe to the BCDP General Newsletter/Volunteer Newsletter and Action Alerts:

To stay informed about what activities Boulder County Dems are doing, what urgent volunteer needs we have and what is happening in the County.  We also send out Action Alerts to subscribers to promote last minute rallies, events or hearings that need immediate attention.  We encourage you to subscribe to some or all of these notices here.

3.)  Work With Us to Make It Better!

The Boulder County Democratic Party is an all-volunteer organization committed to improving governance in Colorado and beyond.  We have many Volunteer Opportunities, many Activist Groups, many Events and other ways to become involved.  See What BCDP Is Doing here.  You can also Donate to BCDP!  It really helps to stop stewing and start doing!

4.)  Assist a Local Candidate's Campaign:

Local candidates for office organize their own Get Out The Vote efforts and often have campaign offices in Boulder and Longmont.  Volunteering for a local candidate is an exciting way to learn the ropes of a running campaign, get training to run for office yourself one day or just have a big impact in a more intimate campaign setting.  For a list of current candidates and how to contact them, please visit our Candidate page.

5.)  Volunteer to Help Develop or Pass a Ballot Issue:

Many people are issue-driven, meaning that a large part of their interest in politics stems from a deep conviction about a particular issue- like the environment, immigration, education, or the economy.  You can channel your volunteer work directly to your issue of choice by working to help develop or pass ballot issues.  Check out BCDP's  ballot issues page to see what initiatives will be on the upcoming election's ballot.  Visit the ballot issues' website for contact info and how to get involved.  Consider joining the Boulder County Dems Grassroots Action Team (GAT) to help develop future ballot issues (email for more info).
